I'm Castr and I've been creating this NSFW, bara-inspired, romance game during my free time. I'm responsible for every little thing about it, so be patient and kind with your words, please.
It is called "Those Days" and it is about a guy that decides that he will be spending a few days in his family's farmhouse. There he meets Cott, Salmi, and later on a few other characters that will make his vacation a bit more interesting.

I just came across this game today. If what everybody is saying in the comments is true, then this is truly tragic. I'd like to hope the creator is still with us. This project so far has been one of the sweetest and hottest VN's I've experienced in a while. The art style is so whimsical and adorably beautiful, even during the naughty scenes! You really created my ideal dream guy with Cott <3
Castr, if you are still here with us, I beg you to give us an update, not even just on the game, just letting us know you're still here, and if your plans have changed in regard to this project. I got so immediately invested in the story, but then immediately became even more depressed than I already am when I read through the comments afterwards...
The amount of work that has been put into this VN already is amazing and I would be so heartbroken if this is where this ended...
If you pay a one-off Patreon membership ($2 then unsubscribe afterwards), you'll be able to download version 1.1b of the game, which may well be longer, and more polished than the itch.io version here 0.5? It is sad that the story was not completed - for whatever reason. If you read their Patreon updates there were exciting things to come, including; new routes (Ned route already started), a potential new love interest and a fun Halloween version - Ned the werewolf becoming a reality, and Cott the orc (hence the big dong!). If you download the new version, you can apparently enter the Ned route on day 3 by "checking all the items in his shop". I've only just downloaded the new version, I don't know how well it works. Obviously it may not be as glitch-free as this itch.io version.
Their last post on patreon, which was apparently removed, was announcing that they got Covid back in 2021 and since then nothing else was posted anywhere...
Unfortunately I think the worse has happened...
Well, considering that the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) is actually relatively benign to anyone who isn't elderly or seriously immunocompromised, despite the fearmongering of Government and Big Pharma, means that either he is actually sick, dead, or really doing just fine but is fed up with his project(s) and used the coronavirus as an excuse to step away from his obligations.
It's not like it's difficult for someone with a pseudonym account to disappear into his regular life...
Big Pharma is the biggest global cartel. Of course they are going to want to fearmonger with culpable greedy governments. I wouldn't be surprised if they all commissioned China to create the virus, so they could create new physical ailments on healthy people, and further monetize every flu season.
That aside, this abandoned VN bullcrap is why it VN authors on this site should refrain from posting their half-baked unfinished projects until they are completed. It is highly unprofessional, annoying as hell, and disrespectful to audiences, to be constantly presented with bits of content that will never be completed. Thankfully, my best friend on this site has good work ethic & actually finished his VN before posting it. I read his VN in 3 months and greatly enjoyed the ride, without having to wait months between.

I just want to say that I hope all is well and that at some point you are able to continue with this great visual novel... the art, story, and NSFW material is truly enjoyable and would love to see more. Not sure what all is going on on your end or if this is but a pipe dream... but hopefully at some point we can get some more of this :)
And this is why I am sick and tired of unfinished VNs. To future VN authors, PLEASE complete 80-90% of your project BEFORE bothering to publish it & wasting everyone's time & money when you decide to abandon it.

How do you know this? Even if it is true, albeit unfortunate and sad, bigman16's sentiment still holds, he isnt cursing anyone. I can understand their frustration.. I was a Patron myself for about 5 months. In Nov. Castor was still actively working on this project and no mention of being sick on patron or twitter. Its almost like a rumor spread in the Devs absence, mostly likely based on people telling them to feel better after responding to criticism. But if anyone knows Castor personally feel free to chime in here.
Thank you, Rynbin. I was also a Patreon for several months. I am beyond frustrated, since in the last 18 months this exact thing has happened to a dozen other VNs I used to support.
Any developer's poor work ethic and tendency to abandon projects is unprofessional and unfair to those of us who invested time and money in their projects. And since there isn't any accountability (and people like omar are quick to attack and defend said poor work ethic), some Devs can get away with it.
Well, good luck finding backers for your next unfinished magnum opus! We deserve better!

It can be a good way to make money, for sure... even the big game publishers sometimes sell their games before finishing them. Which is just really dumb when consumers pay for it, despite there being no benefit to doing so.
Sexual games being sold as 'early access' can really get people's money and attention, because people don't think clearly/rationally when sex is involved, especially when you can declare something as non-heterosexual, as it gets an abnormally high degree of forgiveness and virtue signalling for anything that isn't heterosexual, even if it's terrible or lacklustre.

its not a movie....you dont control a movie. In VNovel games atleast there are options and choices
alternate options still have to be written, the reader only gets to pick which ones they want to see. you don't get to adopt a dog if that wasn't written. not to mention sometimes it's merely an illusion of choices that all lead to the same point.
